The Mad Dash, an annual Labor Day event, is hosted by the Church of the Messiah in beautiful Rhinebeck, NY. 100% of net proceeds from Mad Dash support programs that benefit local and global communities in need.
Make Monday, September 5th 2016, a special Labor Day by joining hundreds of runners as they race through the countryside in charming Rhinebeck to support communities in need.
The 5K RUN AND WALK start at 8:30AM and the 10K RUN starts at 9:15AM. Mini-Dashes are at 9:45am.
If you have gently used sneakers or running clothes that you no longer need, we will collect them in the Parish Hall and donate them to an organization(s) that provides clothing to those in need.
In Loving Memory of Al Grigull
This year's race is in memory of Al Grigull , who more than 25 years ago brought the Mad Dash, his love of running, and the Church of the Messiah
together. For more information about Al and his wife Laura's involvement with the race and his inspiring story, see Pete Colaizzo’s February 23, 2016 article,
"On the Run: Community lost dear friend in Grigull's passing" in the Poughkeepsie Journal at poughkeepsiejournal.com.
